hey, my name is simao.

I'm a 16-year-old with a passion for video editing, marketing, graphic design, poster creation, and coding. I enjoy working on creative projects from time to time, always looking for new challenges to tackle. I started my video editing journey in 2020, and it went pretty well—I quickly picked up and mastered software like  Adobe Premiere Pro and  Adobe Photoshop. Lately, I've been diving into the world of coding and animation. Coding has always fascinated me, even though, to be honest, I’ve never been great at it (and spoiler alert: I’m still not lol). But that hasn’t stopped me from experimenting and learning. Right now, I’m working on a custom gamemode for Garry’s Mod which is a gun game system inspired by Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's Arms Race mode. On top of that, I’m exploring character animation using Source Filmmaker (SFM), a piece of software that feels like an ancient relic but still has its charm.

I’m always on the lookout for new ways to improve my skills and bring my ideas to life, such as political involvement.

work experience and co.

FLEX-Tools

Workexperience at FLEX-Tools as "Marketing-Communication"

I had work experience at the international company "FLEX-Tools", a subsidiary of Chervon, also known as Chervon Group when I was 15 years old. FLEX-Tools worked on power tools for construction, metal, cars, etc. mainly focused on green alternatives and power. My position there was "Marketing-Communication" where my tasks were:

  • Respond and engage on Social Media (Instagram, TikTok, etc)
  • Planning and creation of posts for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
  • Create content such as videos for reels.
  • SEO
  • Newsletters distribution

My time there was short. I had a brief 5 days of work which were interesting. It gave me a whole new insight in the job world and how it feels being in a work environment. I thought it was gonna be difficult and stressful, but I worked with an amazing team that worked at their pace and were really friendly with each other.

I was shown around the facility and was given an insight in the history of FLEX and how they evolved. I was even shown one of their upcoming products that was yet to be unveiled. My working hours were also short. I could come in at 09:00 and go out at 14:00 if I wanted to, but some days I stayed for longer and came earlier as I was comitted to the work and had lots of fun.

I edited videos and GIFs for them on  Adobe Premiere Pro and  Adobe Illustrator which was pretty fun as it showed me a few things that I didn't know. My creativity was going through rooftops during my time there. Having a job where you could literally just do what you do in your freetime which is edit videos and engage on social media was awesome because not only did I enjoy every single second I was there editing and replying to comments, I also learned a few cool things.

One thing that was interesting to me was that they had trust in me. They trusted me not to mess with their stuff or hack their network which was awesome considering they were literally showing me stuff before release, were typing out passwords for their literal accounts and password manager infront of me and gave me full access into their network so I could access videos and images to use for video editing. I was not planning to do anything malicious anyways, but the level of trust felt wrong. I'm some random dude that is there for 5 days and you're already trusting me to the point of where I'm literally watching you access your own password manager for the company? Crazy!

I have uploaded a set of GIFs and videos to my website that I created during my time there, though they are in the wrong resolution (my bad buddies over at FLEX). You can watch them here:

Editing Gigs

Editing Gigs for Individuals, Businesses and Groups (YouTube, Trailers, Showcases)

From time to time, I take on "Editing Gigs" which are paid commissions where I edit videos for clients. Over the past five years, my editing experience has grown significantly. I've worked with multiple groups, businesses, and individuals, primarily in the YouTube space. While I rarely step outside that environment, I'm confident that if I do, I won’t be lost.

I also run my own YouTube channel and edit videos for it occasionally—but more on that later.

I have edited multiple projects for various individuals and groups, including:

  • ShabeelExploits, YouTuber (
  • Xeno, YouTuber (no data available)
  • PrinceOfCookies, YouTuber (
  • secretservice.club, Business/Group (200+ clients, 4.8k views for 1 project)
  • Low Sodium, Community/Business (500+ members in discord)

These are just some of the more notable examples. I've also helped multiple friends and individuals with editing

Soon I will be looking into getting experienced with Adobe After Effects. I've been meaning to get that under my belt for a while now.

YouTube

Running and managing a personal YouTube channel "lifeline4603"

Ever since I was a kid I was always fascinated by the idea of being a YouTuber. Sitting on your desk, playing video games and uploading them to YouTube to generate a sizable community and a fairly decent income stream sounded awesome to me. I dipped my toes in the YouTube environment and have been slowly but surely growing my YouTube channel. I don't upload as regularly anymore as there are other things I am currently exploring but I still upload from time to time.

The content centered around, you guessed it, Garry's Mod. I used to upload trolling montages and funny moments with friends. It was some really good times of my life.

It is important to note that a lot of my opinions on the content made have changed which means if you see something I did on X video X months ago and find it weird, there is a big chance that I have the same opinion as you.

Trolling and cheating in general has become boring. Not only has it become boring but it also doesnt align with my interests or morals anymore. My stance on video game cheating and tampering has changed and I don't agree with such pratices anymore. There's likely gonna be a blog post from my end soon about the whole cheating thing and how I view it as a former cheater. It might even make it into a YouTube video!

I have amassed a few achievements such as:

Customer Support

Customer support for "secretservice.club"

Please note that as mentioned previously, my views on video game cheating and tampering have changed and I have distanced myself from any businesses or groups that do such behaviour such as secretservice.club. I am still mentioning it here since I did customer support and was usually looked up to for help.

I used to be a support agent for secretservice.club, a business selling and distributing video game "enhancements". I was a prominent figure in the community and always tried my best to help others with any issues they had with configurations, bugs, etc. I was active and I made it my goal to make it to every request and ticket on the panel.

My tasks as a Support Agent were:

  • Respond to DMs asking for help
  • Respond to tickets regarding technical issues, sales, bugs, etc.
  • Accept or deny HWID reset requests
  • Monitor logs for anything suspiscious (attempts of cracking for example)

I often did more than just customer support. I engaged and communicated with the community in my free time to keep the spirit up in a toxic environment. I filled additional roles such as:

  • Making announcements for the owner
  • Bug and safety testing
  • Suggest internal changes
  • Clear up questions about secretservice
  • Help with tooltips

Towards the end of my time there (which was around the time my opinion swayed more heavily against cheating) I was less and less active and eventually left to pursue other, much more interesting things. I learned a lot during my time there on how to interact with customers and how to maximize assistance. It was extremely fun and I always felt great after clearing up someone's questions or issues.
